Your Attorney 


M. Gabriela Ungo is the principal attorney at GC UNGO Immigration Law. She has been practicing U.S. immigration law since 2001, and focused her practice exclusively on employment and family-based immigration matters. 

An immigrant herself, Gabriela is aware of the challenges and complexities involved in an immigration process and personally relates to each client. As your attorney, Gabriela is a  strong believer in problem-avoidance, and takes a proactive and holistic approach to case preparation and presentation. 

Gabriela has been an invited lecturer in bar association meetings, business organizations and universities. In 2016, she was keynote speaker at a memorable U.S. District Court Naturalization ceremony. She has appeared on several Mississippi Public Radio programs.

A Little History

M. Gabriela Gonzalez Casafont, is professionally known M. Gabriela Ungo. She was born and raised in Costa Rica, where she went to law school and moved to the United States in 1994. In the U.S., Gabriela held wide array of non-immigrant visas before going through the United States green card and naturalization process herself. She earned a Master's Degree in Comparative Law from University of Miami and worked at MTV Networks, Inc. in Miami Florida. She was a partner at Walker Ungo Immigration Law firm for 14 years. 

Gabriela is admitted to the State Bar of New York and Costa Rican Bar Association.
